Standard write-up format for StartThis ideas
Enough information and background so that someone can actually take an idea and run with it!
The goal of sharing these ideas is to inspire someone, somewhere to build something.
With that in mind, I want to share as much detail as possible on where ideas came from, and how I arrived at what I believe to be a viable business to solve a real problem.
I think these are good ideas, but if I’m doing this right, hopefully you can take it and make it great.
So here’s the general format I’ll try to use when sharing any idea:
Generalized title and one-liner
Industry category or type of business
Requisite skills needed to build it, if any
The pitch
Background on the problem or need
Relevant trends or data points
Possibly useful strategies
Name ideas
The first few are to let people quickly decide if they want to read on, and rest are the meat and potatoes of the idea.
As well, I will try keep ideas actionable for the majority of readers, and avoid any ideas which require hyper-specialized knowledge. “AI-powered cat nutrition” might have potential, but there are probably only a handful of entrepreneurs that could tackle that.
Is there a better format? Am I going too in-depth? Send me your feedback anytime!
Start on!
